Rules and Regulations

LEGO® Original Build Competition

  • Registration form and payment must be received by March 8, 2023
  • Registration fee is $12 per entry in each category.
  • Use your own Lego®, Duplo, Megablocks or other LEGO® compatible plastic bricks.
  • Entries must be your own creation, not a LEGO® designed kit, project found online, in a magazine etc.
  • Entry categories are: Preschool, Grades K-1, Grades 2-3, Grades 4-5, and 6-Adult. Group builds will be entered into the oldest member's grade/age level.
  • One entry per person with the exception of a Whole Family Build/creation.
  • Your creation must fit within a space of 24 by 24 inches. Your completed project may be no more than four feet tall.
  • A slip will be provided at check-in to title your creation.
  • Completed projects must be delivered to the foyer of Trinity’s Family Life Center, 1401 Harding Street, Conklin, MI, 49403 on Friday, March 15 between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. or Saturday, March 16 between 10:00 am and noon in order to be judged.
  • Entries will be evaluated by a panel of judges on presentation, use of space, originality, use of color and design title/description. View and Vote judging (public) will also take place during the LEGO® Extravaganza! on Saturday, March 16 between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
  • The Awards Ceremony will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 16.
  • Four awards will be given in each of the five categories - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd determined by a panel of judges and one determined by the public View and Vote.
  • Completed entries MUST be taken home on the evening of Saturday, March 16 after the ceremony ends.

 View and Vote

  • All attendees of the LEGO® Extaravagana! may vote for one entry in each category.
  • Voting is open from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

LEGO® Fastest Build Race

  • Registration form and payment must be received by March 8, 2023
  • Registration fee is $27 per participant, which includes the price of the LEGO set.
  • Participants get to keep the LEGO® set!
  • The LEGO® Races start at 5:15 p.m. during LEGO® Extravaganza! Entrants must be checked in no later than 5:00 p.m.
  • Each participant in an age group will be building the exact same set.
  • Each participant must correctly build the LEGO® set provided as fast as he/she can.
  • One award will be given in each category.

Exhibition Area
  • Anyone can bring in a favorite, rare, or unique LEGO® set to share with others, strictly for viewing pleasure.
