Early Childhood Education
Rooted in the firm belief that childhood is not a race to the finish, Trinity’s early childhood programs are tiered to coincide with the developmental stages of our youngest learners.
We love hands-on experiences for our children and being out in God’s wonderful creation. Children receive quality care and the ability to explore our nature scape playground.

At Trinity, our early childhood program is tiered to coincide with the developmental stages of our smallest students. Our 3’s program focuses on “progressing through play”.
-
Our 4’s program has a focus on “Explore & Expand”
-
PLUS program is “Develop and Demonstrate”. Because the kindergarten curriculum is far more strenuous in today’s culture than it used to be, it is even more important that children are given enough time to develop socially, emotionally, and physically so that they can demonstrate readiness for the academic challenges of today’s kindergarten.
Who is it for?: Students that have fall birthdays causing them to miss the “5 by September 1st” cut-off for enrollment in kindergarten as well as children who would benefit from the ‘gift of time’ to further develop social & emotional maturity.
Early Childhood Staff
Preschool Director and Teacher
Jackie Rasch (Miss Jackie) joined the teaching staff at Trinity Lutheran School as the Preschool Teacher & Director in the fall of 2016. She holds a BA in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI. Miss Jackie is an experienced teacher, having taught preschool for 16 years in addition to her elementary teaching experience. Prior to joining the teaching team at Trinity, Miss Jackie grew up, and still lives, on the family apple farm in Conklin. It is on the farm among her 13 siblings that Jackie’s larger-than-life dad, Bill Rasch (1924-2004), and quiet, kind-hearted mom, Rosemary (1926-2023), fostered her love for young children. Although Jackie never married, nor gave birth to children of her own, she regards each of her students as 'one of her own', as she loves and nurtures them. She looks forward to many years of "building faith and serving people" through the school ministry at Trinity!
